Incredible £96,251 raised as curtain falls on the 2017 Pendleside Corporate Challenge

The 2017 Pendleside Corporate Challenge drew to a close last week with a glittering awards evening at the Burnley Mechanics where it was announced that local businesses had raised an incredible £96,251 for the Pendleside Hospice.The awards evening recognised the magnificent achievements of many individuals and businesses during the challenge which led to a huge amount of money being raised for the hospice.The 2017 Pendleside Corporate Challenge began back in June with 28 companies given £50 and asked to turn it into as much money as they could within a four-month period.Businesses across Burnley and Pendle rose to the challenge hosting bake-offs, golf days, car washes, fashion shows, prison breaks and even kisses from Bernie the dog!

Awards evening recognises amazing achievements during Corporate Challenge

The Pendleside Corporate Challenge Awards Evening was a fantastic way to recognise the contribution individuals and businesses had made not just to raising money but to embracing the spirit of the Pendleside Hospice.From best male performance and best female performance to 'LOL' Award and Most Raised, businesses and individuals were recognised for their innovation, enthusiasm, community spirit and ability to make us all laugh out loud.Here at Farnworth Rose, we were delighted to be nominated for 5 awards during the event.After a fantastic night including speeches which demonstrated just how much support the Pendleside Hospice offers to people across the local area, it was time to crown the 2017 Corporate Challenge Champion.This year ACDC took the prize home after their team threw themselves into the challenge with car washes, skydives and much much more. The Farnworth Rose fundraising continues!

It may be the end of the 2017 Corporate Challenge but the Farnworth Rose fundraising for the Pendleside Hospice isn't stopping there!As we continue to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, Farnworth Rose will be hosting a charity auction and curry night at the Bombay Lounge in Barrowford.The event, which will take place on the 17th November, will be hosted by ITV's Paul Crone, feature 'Mystique Magic' from Andrew Tunney and offer auction items including limited edition prints, an image consultation and vouchers, a cooking course, and a hot air balloon ride followed by a meal for 2.If you'd like to get involved in raising money for this fantastic charity you can get more information by emailing info@farrnworthrose.co.uk
