Raising money for a great cause

Throughout 2017 we have been celebrating Farnworth Rose turning 10 by carrying out 10 fundraisers all in support of the Pendleside Hospice. After taking on charity car boot sales, pub walks, prison breaks and much more we closed the show on Friday night with a charity auction and curry night at the Bombay Lounge in Barrowford. To kick off the night, guests were treated to one on one mind-boggling magic from the magnificent Andrew Tunney, before tucking into a 3-course meal courtesy of the Bombay Lounge. Those attending had the chance to win a range of prizes kindly donated by local businesses during an auction, raffle and balloon pop hosted by ITV Granada's very own Paul 'Croney' Crone. Finally, we were putting on our dancing shoes to enjoy music from the fantastic Furious Styles Duo and continued to dance the night away in celebration of raising a staggering £2,034 to take our overall fundraising total for the year to £5,910.We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated auction and raffle items including, Aphrodite's Lodge, Northcote Manor, Michelle B Fashion, Whalley Wines, Keith Melling, Wayne Farrow, Sam Punchard, David Priestly of Pendle Portraits, Pendle Balloon Flights, Tubbs of Colne, Ashworth and Tennant, The Flower Cart, Strawberry J & M, Warburtons, Pendle Transfers, The Last Trading Post, Beech's Butchers, The White Swan, Krafty Cow, Giddy Kippers, Pendle Leisure Trust, Kenanks, Lucy & Friends Hairdresser, Pure Hairdressers and Kimora Womenswear.

A word from our Director Richard Farnworth

Richard Farnworth, Director at Farnworth Rose, commented:

"Celebrating our tenth year in business has been a fantastic opportunity to give back to a charity that has helped so many people in the local area."When we began our fundraising efforts to celebrate 10 years in business in April 2017, we had set the aim of raising £1,000 for the Pendleside Hospice. To have raised almost £6,000 is thanks to both the hard work of the team and the generosity of local businesses."We'd like to say a special thanks to the Bombay Lounge, 'Croney', Mr Tunney, the Furious Styles Duo and of course, everyone who has supported our tenth and final fundraiser of the year for making the night such a huge success."
