Coronavirus Outbreak: Can I still make a Will?

Farnworth Rose would like to reassure clients looking to draft Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA) or needing assistance with probate matters that we can still provide all of these services without requiring a meeting at our offices.

That majority of legal services can be dealt with by phone, email and post. We can take instructions to draft Wills and LPAs remotely and at the point of signing, we are able to use technology to help -via Facetime, Skype, WhatsApp or any other video communication channels.

If advice is needed on obtaining a Grant of Probate or dealing with Estate Administration everything can be dealt with via post to start the process. If the estate involves the sale of a property our conveyancing department can deal with the transaction remotely again, without the need for visiting the office.

Should the government move to a complete lockdown our departments can work from home and continue to provide the same services.
