Lois Shortlisted for National Award
Lois Dixon has been shortlisted for the Young Practitioner of the Year at the British Wills and Probate Awards.
Lois is a Solicitor in the Private Client department at Farnworth Rose and is currently undertaking the STEP qualification, which is the global professional association for Solicitors who specialise in family inheritance and succession planning. Earlier this year she passed the STEP exam Certificate in Trusts and Estates with distinction.
She is proactively involved in marketing the department and reviewing new technology to improve internal processes and the client experience. Lois has also taken on responsibility for training her assistant and an apprentice who joined the firm in March.
Janet Lalor, Director commented:
“Lois has shown tremendous resilience over the last 12 months, adapting to changing working practices due to the pandemic whilst taking on a wider range of more complex probate matters, Wills and trusts. She now regularly deals with Wills for high-net-worth individuals who have business, agricultural and digital assets.
The STEP course she is currently undertaking shows her commitment to expanding her knowledge and is a notoriously difficult qualification to obtain.”
Lois added:
“This is great surprise and I’m really pleased to have been shortlisted for this national award. The firm have supported me in many ways since joining, particular through training and development so it’s great to have received this recognition. Fingers crossed now for the ceremony!”
The awards ceremony takes place on Thursday 21st October at The Grand Hotel, Birmingham.
