Farnworth Rose to raise money for Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal in 2020
Farnworth Rose are delighted to announce that we will be raising money for the Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal and Pendleside Hospice during 2020.
Charity fundraising carried out by Farnworth Rose during 2020 will be donated to our charities of the year, the Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal and Pendleside Hospice.
The Barry Kilby Prostate Cancer Appeal (BKPCA) was founded by former Burnley Football Club chairman Barry Kilby in 2014 after he was diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer in 2011 despite showing no symptoms.
The BKPCA now run a series of testing days at sports venues across the UK to help save men’s lives with simple PSA blood testing events. These testing events are vital as there are no national screening events for prostate cancer.
At Farnworth Rose we will also be once again lending our support to the Pendleside Hospice.
Since opening in 1997, thousands of people have benefitted from the support of the Pendleside Hospice.
As a result of continued fundraising, the Pendleside Hospice now offers day therapy, specialist physiotherapy, complementary therapies, inpatient care, 24/7 hospice at home, counselling, bereavement support and spiritual care.
