Farnworth Rose support RunAway Challenge
At Farnworth Rose, we have pledged our support for Scott Cunliffe as he prepares to hit the road for the eighth time this season as part of his RunAway Challenge.The RunAway Challenge will see Scott attempt to run 19 ultra-marathons from Turf Moor, Burnley to 19 Premier League stadiums during the 2018/19 season, raising money for community based charities that offer innovative activities to improve the mental and physical health of disadvantaged people.Farnworth Rose are sponsoring Scott’s run to the Crystal Palace game on 1st December, which will see him cover over 250 miles starting on 25th November.Richard Farnworth, Director at Farnworth Rose Solicitors commented:
“When we heard about Scott’s ambitious plans we were keen to support him. It’s a huge challenge, but clearly one he is determined to complete whilst raising much needed funds for charity. In addition to sponsoring Scott for this event, for every Will we draft in December we will donate a further £10.”
So far Scott has raised over £6,500 and is already more than halfway towards his £10,000 target for the season. Scott commented:
“I’d like to thank the Directors at Farnworth Rose for reaching out and being so keen to help. I wanted to set myself a big challenge that combined my love of away days with my passion for running. It’s really gathered momentum now and I’ve even been approached to do a book and film about the project!Whilst everyone else is relaxing over the Christmas period I’ve got three runs to London and just a short one over to Huddersfield on New Year’s Day!”
How to donate to the RunAway Challenge
All of the money raised by Scott will go to Burnley FC in the Community who are the official charity of Burnley Football Club. They will donate 50% of the funds raised to local charities in Burnley with the other 50% divided between the community trusts at each Premier League club Scott will be running to.If you'd like to make a donation to the RunAway Challenge, Scott's fundraising page can be found at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/therunawaychallenge.
