Farnworth Rose Raise Money for Pendleside Hospice on Wear Your Shirt Day!

On Friday 21st April, Farnworth Rose turned Claret and Blue for the day as we took part in Wear Your Shirt Day!The staff at Farnworth Rose have made donations and donned the colours of their favourite teams to raise money for the Pendleside Hospice.The initiative was started by Burnley FC in the Community and has seen schools and businesses across the local area get involved to raise money for this great cause.Here at Farnworth Rose, we were even honoured with a visit from Burnley FC's famous mascot Bertie Bee! He buzzed by for a few photos and even had a go at our keepy-uppy challenge!Supporting Burnley FC in the CommunityBurnley FC in the Community is the official charity of Burnley Football Club. The award-winning charity is financially independent of the club and relies on fundraising activities, donations and sponsorship to carry out their work in the community.Their work is channelled into 5 key areas, sports, education, health, social inclusion and community facilities. Burnley FC in the Community now delivers more than 30 community projects which touch the lives of people in and around Burnley from young people right through to senior citizens.Stay up to date with the Farnworth Rose 10 year fundraisingAs the Farnworth Rose 10 fundraisers for 10 years gets into full flow, we're delighted to announce the dates of some upcoming events we will be attending.Our goal is to raise as much money as possible for the Pendleside Hospice across the year.
