Free Will Service extended to anyone aged 18 and over

Due to the success of the Cancer Research UK Free Wills Service, the offer has now been extended to offer free simple Wills to anyone over the age of 18.Amanda Coates, Wills & Probate Solicitor at Farnworth Rose, commented: “We would like to thank all of our clients who have left legacies in their Will to Cancer Research UK.“With the offer now extended to anyone over the age of 18, even more people can benefit from making a free simple single or mirror Will.“In the UK less than 50% of the adult population have made a Will and without one, you have no say in how your assets will be divided.“Although many people believe the can wait until later in life before considering estate planning, it is never too soon to make a Will. Anyone who has children or property should consider making a Will to ensure their wishes will be followed.“For unmarried couples, the situation can be more complex. Many people still believe there such as thing as a ‘common law’ marriage, yet this has no legal standing and therefore unmarried partners have no automatic legal rights to each other’s estates on death”
