Farnworth Rose go Car Booting to raise £426 for Pendleside Hospice!

Here at Farnworth Rose, we are delighted to announce that our charity car boot sale has raised £426.49 for the Pendleside Hospice!Throughout 2017 Farnworth Rose will be celebrating our 10th year in business by giving back with '10 fundraisers for 10 years'. The charity car boot was just the start of our goal to raise as much money as possible to support the great work of the Pendleside Hospice.Over the last few weeks, we have been thrilled to receive a huge array of donations from the Farnworth Rose family including paintings, ornaments, clothing, toys and CDs.On Sunday 9th April, our team of volunteers were up bright and early to set up shop at the Winfield's Car Boot in Haslingden. As the crowds poured in on a sunny Sunday the stock started to fly off the shelves! We were delighted to receive generous donations from fellow car-booters, many of whom had a story to tell about how the wonderful work of the Pendleside Hospice had helped them and their loved ones.Since opening in 1997, thousands of people have benefitted from the support of the Pendleside Hospice. As a result of continued fundraising, the Pendleside Hospice now offers day therapy, specialist physiotherapy, complementary therapies, inpatient care, 24/7 hospice at home, counselling, bereavement support and spiritual care.Janet Lalor, Director at Farnworth Rose, commented: 'We are delighted to kick off our fundraising by raising over £400 for the Pendleside Hospice.'We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated or bought an item and to those who worked so hard on the day to raise as much money as possible.'
