Fixed Price Divorce
Our family law Solicitor, Craig J Baldwin, has over 35 years’ experience in providing specialist professional advice and support.
We recognise that the many financial uncertainties associated with divorce are often of great concern. We have therefore introduced a range of fixed price packages, the main benefit of which is that you will know in advance what the legal costs for dealing with your matrimonial finances following divorce are likely to be.
The fixed price packages we offer supplement our reasonable and competitive hourly rates, thereby giving you complete freedom to choose the best solution for you.
We will provide you with all the professional and emotional support that you require, whether you are commencing divorce proceedings (the Petitioner) or whether someone is divorcing you (the Respondent).
As Petitioner, we will we will advise you on divorce proceedings and, based on your instructions, draft and issue your divorce petition. As soon as the Respondent has acknowledged receipt, we will then complete a statement in support of the petition for you to sign, together with an application for the decree nisi. Six weeks after the pronouncement of the decree nisi, we will apply for the decree absolute to complete the divorce process.
As Respondent, we will advise you on divorce proceedings and on the issues of filing an answer and cross petition. We will also advise you in relation to costs and completing the form of acknowledgement.

We will include a claim for costs as your legal representatives to be assessed if not agreed.
As Respondent, we will complete the form of acknowledgement of service of the petition for you.

Fixed Price – Financial Provision
The costs associated with dealing with financial provision following a divorce can easily spiral out of control. There have been many horror stories recently in the media, where couples have spent tens of thousands of pounds arguing over who gets what and how much maintenance should be paid by one spouse to another.
It does not have to be this way.
A fixed price financial remedy package lets you know in advance what the legal costs of dealing with your matrimonial finances following divorce are likely to be.
The Family Matters process of resolving financial arrangements on divorce has been broken down into four steps. At each step, we will try to negotiate a financial settlement for you and thereby avoid subsequent steps. You may have dealt with one step on your own and require help with other steps; the system we have designed allows all our clients to seek help at whatever stage they are in the process.
Who can use the Fixed Price Service?
The fixed price service is ideally suited to anyone seeking a divorce with a genuine desire to reach a sensible financial arrangement with their spouse and who wishes to use the expertise and service of a Solicitor whilst remaining in control of legal costs.
We can obtain all necessary information and instructions from you by electronic means, or if you prefer, at an initial consultation.
The fixed price service is only available to clients with combined gross assets below £500,000.00 and no assets outside England and Wales. If you have assets above this level, it is likely that your financial affairs will require greater consideration – please telephone to arrange an initial consultation and quotation in respect of fees.
