Make a Lasting Power of Attorney and a Will

Recently the Court of Protection has come under criticism for being slow and expensive.

So to avoid having your loved ones getting involved in long drawn out costly processes, for your own and their sakes, make a Lasting Power of Attorney and a will.

This message has been sent out by this firm for many years and was reiterated by Martin Lewis on ITV’s ‘This Morning”.

A Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) allows your trusted representative to deal with your affairs if you are unable or incapable of doing so yourself. It is vital that you make this appointment whilst you are still capable of doing so. The LPA can then be left until required.

A Will ensures that your assets are distributed in accordance with your wishes after you die. A professionally drawn up Will may also assist you in the event that your estate is subject to Inheritance Tax.

So don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do today.

Help your loved ones.
