We are delighted to announce that the Golf Day 2014, organised by Farnworth Rose solicitors has been a huge success!

Held at the picturesque Nelson Golf Club, four teams of representatives from local businesses competed for what can only be described as the prestigious Serious Hackers Invitational Trophy.

Farnworth Rose solicitors, Mortgages 65, McParland and Partners, and Petty Estate Agents were able to raise £417 on the day for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity.

The Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity provides cutting edge research, aiming to help prevent breast cancer, detect breast cancer earlier, and treat breast cancer more effectively. The charity, founded in 1989, now funds the work of 270 scientists aiming to stop breast cancer for good.

The day began with lunch for the teams in the clubhouse before heading off onto the course get the inaugural event into full swing.

Thankfully, the weather stayed clear and fine and Farnworth Rose solicitors stormed to victory to claim the Serious Hackers Invitational Trophy.

The golfers were joined by their fellow employees for the evening meal in the clubhouse, with generous donations made by all to the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity.

Farnworth Rose’s very own Richard Farnworth led the trophy presentation, proudly presenting himself with the Serious Hackers Invitational Trophy.

Richard Farnworth said: ‘We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in the event for making it such a great day.

‘We are delighted to raise money for the Breakthrough Breast Cancer charity with the great help of everyone from Mortgages 65, McParland and Partners and Petty Estate Agents.â?
