Richard Farnworth, Director at Farnworth Rose, is proud to announce that his youngest son has officially signed for Australian rugby league club Brisbane Broncos.

Herbie Farnworth, aged 17, has already made quite an impact on the rugby league scene whilst playing for the England Rugby League Youth Team.

In March last year, Herbie was instrumental as the England Rugby League Youth Team beat France Under-16’s in two-match series. He made a game-saving tackle on the way to a 28-18 win in the first Test before claiming man of the match after scoring a stunning solo try in a 28-20 victory in the second Test.

The deal with the Brisbane Broncos comes after a number of successful stints Down Under for Herbie, playing in various youth teams and training with the Brisbane Broncos elite squad.

His performances have now led to Herbie signing for one of the most successful Rugby League clubs in the world.

The former Ermysteds Grammar School student will be joined out in Queensland by his mum Joanne Farnworth.

Proud father Richard Farnworth, director at Farnworth Rose solicitors said: ‘My wife and I could not be prouder.

‘To be signed for one of the world’s most successful rugby league clubs at his age is astounding. Herbie deserves all credit due to him.

‘As a family, we cannot wait to see what the future holds for Herbie Down Under.’

Everyone at Farnworth Rose would like to wish Herbie good luck in his new Aussie adventure.
