National Apprenticeship Week 2022
As it’s National Apprenticeship Week we thought we’d speak to our three current apprentices and see how they are getting on at Farnworth Rose!
We are keen supporters of the apprenticeship route to bring in new members of the team and develop their skills and experience. Our current Operations Manager, Sophie Holdsworth, is a great example having started as an apprentice and now works closely with the Directors and Heads of Department to ensure the smooth running of the firm on a day-to-day basis.
Lauren Sherburn
What is your current role?
I am a Business Administration Apprentice in the conveyancing department.
What are the best things about working at Farnworth Rose?
I love all aspects of my job – every day there is something new happening! My favourite part is learning new things. Having already done a law degree anything that furthers the knowledge I already have is exciting.
There are so many opportunities to progress our career and we are well supported. It’s completely different to what I expected of a law firm, although we work extremely hard to achieve all our goals and do what’s best for our clients, we also have a lot of fun doing it. We’re always laughing and it’s great.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Spending time with my two-year-old daughter is top of the list. I also enjoy going out with friends and watching the football with my dad and uncles!

What is your current role?
I am an Apprentice based in the residential conveyancing team and have worked here for just over a year. I assist each fee earner with their matters, mainly dealing with clients in the initial stages of a transaction.
What are the best things about working at Farnworth Rose?
There are lots of training opportunities to progress your career within the firm. It’s more hands-on practical experience and learning, focused on the area of law I want to specialise in.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, walking the dog at the weekend, baking and hoping to travel more.

What is your current role?
I am the Apprentice Junior Admin Assistant within the Wills & Probate Team at Farnworth Rose. My role involves assisting two Fee Earners with their caseloads. I am the first point of contact for clients to make new appointments and I am also responsible for the final stages of creating a Will, ensuring each client has access to their signed Will and the original documents are securely stored.
What are the best things about working at Farnworth Rose?
I love interacting with clients, both over the phone and in person. I like how everyone is easy to get on with and feel like I have a good bond with all the staff.
What do you like to do outside of work?
Learning to drive! I like spending time with friends and family and my dogs too.
