Farnworth's having a ball as youngest son chosen for England Rugby Squad

Richard Farnworth, proud dad of 3 and Director at Farnworth Rose, is delighted to announce that his youngest son Herbie has been selected to play for the England Rugby League Youth Team.

Herbie Farnworth, 16, was selected in a 26-man squad which travelled to France for a 2 Test series against France Under-16's.

After helping the England Youth Team secure a 28-18 win in the first Test, Herbie was able to drive England to a series win, scoring 2 tries as England ran out 28-20 winners in the second Test.That performance earned Herbie the man of the match award as he made a big first impression on the international scene.Herbie has been developing his skills working with one of the top youth coaches in Rugby League, Brian Foley. Foley has been credited with developing some of the best talents to rise through the ranks at Wigan Warriors, including superstar Sam Tomkins.Foley said of Herbie's selection: 'Well done Herbie, so proud!'The England selection is a result of 8 years of hard dedication and there is so much more to come for you.'Enjoy yourself, you deserve this great honour!"

Herbie has already been making a big impact on the rugby league scene after impressing in a six-week stint in Australia. It wasn't long before Herbie's talent was catching the eye of coaches at Brisbane Broncos, one of the most successful clubs in Rugby League history.The Australian giants were so impressed that they offered him the opportunity to return to Australia and play for their under-16 team.But for now, Herbie's attention lies closer to home as he looks to continue his progression in the England set up.
