The return of the Barrowford Festival was once again been a huge success as people flocked to Barrowford Park to enjoy live music, activities and an array of food and drink from the local area.At Farnworth Rose, we were once again delighted to be involved as a sponsor of the festival and reprise our role as hosts of the ‘Quacky Races’ duck race!Business from around the local area came together to provide an array of entertainment including face painting, free sports activities from Burnley Leisure and the Great Barrowford Bake Off.Hundreds of ducks were then sent down racing down the river with prizes on offer for the winners donated by local businesses including Air Unlimited in Burnley and Thornton Hall Farm.The duck race allowed us to raise over £250 to contribute to the overall total raised by the festival for the Pendleside Hospice, Mind and the 3 local schools in the area.We would like to a say a special thank you to everyone who attended and those entered this year’s duck race.Janet Lalor, Director at Farnworth Rose, commented: “We are delighted to see another fantastic turnout for the return of the Barrowford Festival.“The festival has once again been embraced by the local area and local businesses to raise money for great causes.“At Farnworth Rose, we are always pleased to play a part in the local community and we are already looking forward to seeing what is in store for Barrowford Festival 2020!”[huge_it_gallery id="17"]
